Amy Winehouse Released From Hospital

Amy Winehouse was today released from a London hospital afterward an overnight stay to treat what her spokesman said was an contrary reaction to medication.


The 24-year-old singer was discharged from London's University College after spending the night in observation, aforesaid spokesman Chris Goodman.


The Rehab hitmaker was taken by ambulance to the hospital's emergency room from her north London home Monday night. Goodman said the medication had been taken at her home, simply did not provide further details.


Winehouse was hidden by a red River blanket and transported to the ambulance by wheelchair as police force arrived at the scene.


The troubled singer's father Mitch tried to block the view of waiting paparazzi with a sheet - and was heard yelling, "She's f**ked up, she's f**ked up", reports British newspaper The Sun.


"She had a bit of a scare yesterday because of a reaction to intervention. She was kept in overnight purely for observance," Goodman aforesaid in a statement. "Amy is at home now after departure with her father and manager. She is having a rest."


Amy was admitted to a London clinic in June after collapsing at home. Her founding father, Mitch Winehouse, said at the time she had developed early stage emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine.


Winehouse sparked sweet fears for her health this weekend (26-27Jul08) when she was snapped rank and tanning out at her bodyguard in the early hours of Sunday (27Jul08) dayspring before throwing herself on the floor.


She was then pictured punching a alloy fence in frustration afterwards her minder attempted to pick her up from the ground.
