Following the disbanding of Extreme in 1996 and the liberation of his all solo Schizophonic in 1997, Nuno Bettencourt assembled a modern ring with his nephew Donovan called Mourning Widows. They released their self-titled debut on Polydor Japan in 1998, followed by Furnished Souls for Rent in 2000. Both albums were re-released in the U.S. by Bruno Graffitti Records in 2004.

Formed in 1998, the quartet Winds consists of various well-known nominate vocation on the Norwegian metallic element scenery, in time their expressive style of subdued, classically influenced progressive metal is believably non quite what about people think of when they discover the language "Norse" and "metal" mentioned unitedly.
